I am trying to upload a gallery to my website of my recent photography for my customers; however, I am unable to figure out how to make the pictures smaller because they only load in their original format. Is there any html code I can use to make them smaller, or some sort of html code to make some sort of slideshow that the viewer can change the pace and view of the photos? Thanks!

Cold, snow, blisters, moist and temperature variations are just some of the characteristics of winter. They all modify the usual abrogation of digital photography subjects and apparatus behavior. But the most important thing is to feel good; it’s essential to be comfortable while you’re photographing, if you are in front of the subject of your photographic life and all you can think of are your wet shocks, the pain in your ear and how nice a hot tea would feel right now, then the picture is ruined. if you plan on shooting pictures of winter sports of wonderful snowy mountains, wear something that won’t make you remember how cold it really is It’s better to wear several stratus of clothes because the inside temperature will be maintained at constant values for a longer time. Don’t avoid hats in the winter, you can get seriously ill if not wearing one.
You will also need impermeable boots and some gloves. But don’t over do it with the gloves. Of course you can’t manipulate your camera if you can’t feel you hands, but did you try to manipulate it with gloves that have just one finger? Do you think it’s possible ? The best thing to do in these situations is to view the image in your head, then point the camera at the scene you want to photograph and watch the picture though the digital display, without looking the lens. So, problem solved: gloves are warm and stay on all the time, hands don’t freeze and picture gets taken quickly and accurately.
it’s so cold that you are worried for you digital camera, and you should be, because it’s sensible to such low temperature. do not hit the camera against anything, not even by accident, handle it very easy when it’s so cold because its durability factor decreases a lot during cold temperatures. Do not open the camera and change batteries in such cold days, the simple fact that you are breathing over it could produce water vapors and ruin the whole device. Better take along a bigger memory card than two smaller cards. The reasons are the same as in the case of battery changing.
Another issue about winter days is the bright snow that can get the auto function of your digital photography device all screwed up. The subject should be exposed as 18% grey, but if the camera thinks a subject is extended and confounds the snow with something else, then you might turn up having photos in witch your beautiful white snow is … grey and dirty . Using you flash might seem like a crazy idea, but in truth snow is transparent, we see it white because of the light it reflects, so don’t believe your eyes in every situation. photo printing online
The advantage of owing a digital photography camera is mainly the reduced costs of pictures. Many things count when you are trying to buy the first digital photography device, but remember that the one behind the shooting button still remain the most important one. Or shall we say, the photographer’s skills. A few criteria were stated for the inexperienced under of digital cameras These ideas are useful for anyone who isn’t a professional photographer.
Nowadays, the photographic world is so variant that the average user becomes lost in a specialized store. Don’t get drawn in by the low price of a certain camera without checking twice the specifications. Of course you must not overpay for something, so consider price also, but after a proper evaluation.
If you are a beginner, look for user friendly digital cameras. Then, the next thing to look for is the sensor dimension, or the mega pixel number. If your camera has over 3 mega pixels, then you can continue evaluate other specifications because this is enough resolution for a personal use, and cameras above this limit have very spicy prices. So, be moderate when choosing the sensor dimensions. On a vacation, in a school or in the back yard, a 3 mega pixel camera is the perfect solution.
Optics are also important, they are the eyes of your camera. On cameras that can make big photos, it’s crucial to have lenses that are reliable enough to bring quality to big formats. Usually, lenses are signed by known names in the photography industry, like Laica, Cannon, Nikon. Be careful not to get charmed by a big digital zoom. Digital zooming means only that the camera is digitally adjusting the image and enlarging pixels in order to give you a closer look, therefore returning a lower quality image. Buy a camera that has at least 3x optic zoom, but do not over do it with the zoom, there’s no need to spend much more money just because you want to be cool and have a 15x optical zoom witch you will never use.
The way we manage the menus and pictures can be called the camera digital package. All cameras have at least the macro function and a couple of special effects like sepia. Just make sure the display is big enough and the buttons are easily accessible, then browse the menu and see if it provides easy options and accessibility to important functions. print digital photos
We all know that computer of laptop displays are no so accurate when it come to coloring, but there are a few easy techniques through witch you could try ameliorate this:
– try not to have sunlight glowing directly on your monitor
– Degauss weekly.
– Be careful with dust, apply special solutions that can keep dust away from your display.
– Avoid wallpapers, better keep your desktop in just one color, or at least change desktop pictures weekly.
Against popular belief, leaving the camera turned on when you are at a party or somewhere where you will be taking pictures frequently can actually help you save battery life. This way you will save all the energy that is used to turn on and off the camera’s LCD, to read again the memory card and all afferent processes that need to be redone when turning a digital photography device on.
Many digital photography devices offer the possibility of adding special effects directly form the camera. It’s natural to expect some downsides to this. The most important advantages are the fact that you immediately see the wanted effect and that the pictures will take up less space on the memory card. The main disadvantage is that the image loses quality and sometime you forget to turn off the effect and you end up with a memory card full of pictures you didn’t want to make.
Another trick in keeping your digital photography camera up to date is to accessorize it right, buy buying extra batteries and an extra memory card. How would you feel about your new waterproof camera casing when you forgot to buy extra batteries and now you are on vacation at the beach and batteries are running low? Sometimes, people think they can make pictures of less quality rather than spend money on another memory card. Better make fewer pictures that many small pictures that will be virtually un-viewable on a computer display, or again, remember to buy an extra memory card. snapfish
People don’t really know how to tell the differences between digital and classic photography. People don’t always care where their pictures came from as long as they got them and some that own camera never opened them to process pictures so they can’t tell if the have a film or not simply because someone else gets the pics out. People who do know what they are talking about usually fight about it. The classic photography adepts would burn the digital photography heretics on stakes because they dare alter reality. And not only common camera users enter the debate on this matter. Those who use digital photography as an art, are aware of the advantages of classic photography as well, and can’t tell witch is best.
An adept of the past will never agree to digital photography masterpieces and they will immediately see the images they considered altered in a god-like way, which cuts off the right to opinion of viewers. Of course, the macro function is subject of this affirmation, it and its blurring effects. Macro is a nice function that is smart enough to distinguish the subject from the surrounding environment and to blur everything else but this subject. Classic photography militants argue this function and state that the picture can not be individually critiqued anymore, because it will transmit the same image to all viewers. Those who want to comment upon the macro-ed picture will not be able to create an outline because they are forced to view only the central piece. Some voices militate even against flash. They are actually referring to night shots, witch should not be taken at all if flash is used. These people consider that flash is another form of macro if used in night pictures, because the overall effect is so much alike.
The other side, the one of digital photography loves, thank god for digital devices. These people appreciate the macro because it makes life so much easier and loved one so much more visible in picture. They remember that in the past, taking a picture that tried to replicate this macro was a real pain in the ass. And are thankful for having flash when the light is not so good and they still want to take a picture.
No matter where you stand in this debate, the truth is that digital photography is not here to ruin the taste of classic photos. This form of photography is not only easier and more accessible, but also let expensive and more versatile than classic photography.. snapfish
Messing up images’ resolutions and dimensions is not a laughing matter, but unfortunately it happens even in specialized environments. Sometimes, clients come in a digital photography workshop and ask for an image of 300 dpi, not realizing that this only refers to pixel density and gives no idea about the actual size of the picture. Because people are so used to normal photos, seeing a digital once does not tell them much about its dimensions. classic pictures have two defining dimensions, so giving this two will say everything that needs to be said about that image. In digital photography, it is not enough to give the length and width of a picture, as it’s not enough to give only the pixel density.
A digital image is made up from pixels, a word witch comes from the expression picture elements and is used to define the smallest components parts of the respective image. In real photos we use centimeters or millimeters because they are the smallest defined parts of a piece of paper, this means in computer photos we will use pixels. So, image dimensions are stated like this: a 1024 x 640 pixel image. Unfortunately, the pixel dimensions are not easily perceived in real physic plan, so we have to use different measurement system, like resolution.
Resolution defines the amount of pixels that we can find on an inch of image, virtually. So, when we talked before of dpi numbers, they actually represented the density of pixels. Now, we have all the variables: density, length and width in pixels, so real dimensions can be calculated for any picture.
years ago, digital photography was limited to low resolution because images could not be immortalized in high quality. This is why everyone considers mega pixels so important. Nowadays, most digital cameras have this number written on them, and it shows what the maximum density of pixels that apparatus can collect at a certain moment is. (When taking a picture).
Because it is so striking, people look at for mega pixel number when they shop for a digital photography device. Spicy prices and a big mega pixel number don’t necessarily sell the best digital camera, you should look at battery life, at accessories and brand also. snapfish
After more than fifty years from the first manifestations of digital arts, some people still are confused by this term. The entire complex of modern designs and computer arts, pixels and mega pixels, image colors and displays, make many people feel dizzy and hopelessly confused. Digital photography should include the photo printing form of computer edited images that are considered to meat the quality standard in order to be included in the digital arts category.
In a pure esthetic acceptation, the digital arts and its components, digital photo printing and editing, can not be discussed outside the context of the new media devices that make it possible. Digital art history is not yet written down completely. Even if, from a strictly chronological point of view, the first graphic materials produced on a computer are Ben Lpovsky’s oscillations, the digital arts actually emphasis computer tendencies that are specific to the 70s, when the thriving point of birth of digital photo printing registered.
Today, digital arts have their own social environment. The traditional art collector looks for uniqueness, for hand-made things. Old art objects that were hand made are characterized by a certain unique vibe that can let you still feel the artist’s hands touching them. Old art objects are so closely related to the artists that it feels like the painter is donating one of his hands along with his painting. In the case of digital arts, there is no artist connection, there’s just an abstract creator behind the display. The digital photo printing process can reveal a tangible image, but it starts out in an abstract computerized environment. The abstract work of art becomes tangible when it is printed on some sort of material. When printing, we give up the lights game we see on the computer. Computer works have a certain light disposition that is lost through printing because the monitor possesses self illuminations while paper requires a source of light in the exterior. The digital photo printing process can change the object in such a way that it become unrecognizable, because after printing it will be transmuted in an environment that offers an outside source of light. Some wonder why artists don’t ameliorate the passing by modifying their work in such a way that lights don’t matter as much, but the answer is simple: art does not require modifications for any reason.
Because of this problem with lights, galleries also offer a digital copy when you purchase a design. The wonder of digitalized arts is best seen on a computer, that’s why digital frames under the form of large LCDs are exposed in digital art galleries. photo printing services
