I came to know that I lost a bunch of photos from my system after formatting my sys. With the help of a data recovery s/w some of those images recovered. Though I am able to see the full image in thumbnail view, when i try to open them with MS pic& Fax viewer, they dint not even with any other application.

I used to use a computer with XP, and it had a great photo viewer which could instantly make slideshows out of all the pictures in a folder. Now I’m using Vista, and the similar program in Vista is horrible. It takes around 15 seconds to make a slideshow, and it plays videos that are in the same folder as the photos. It has nice effects, like pan/zoom and fade, but these run really slow and don’t work well even on a brand new computer. Is there a way to downgrade to the software XP used, and if not, is there a program I could use to do the same things the XP software did?
