Who says photography is waste of money? I would say it is a hobby that every human being should pursue. There are so many beautiful things around us and each of us cannot have a look at them in our life time. Photography is a way of sharing the happiness of being alive and having a life with intelligence to admire beautiful things. A picture can tell many things and hence, I would suggest a new proverb, “A picture is mightier than a sword”, for your consideration. It is true that you can change the lives of many people using a picture. A picture can tell you a gruesome story, or give you a great motivation to do good things.
Photographs are snapshots of time. They do not tell you what has happened in the past or what happened after the photograph is clicked. But, it will give you the glimpse into the past and contains all the information that the beholder can see. So, if you are interested in photography, then, you have the whole world to explore. You can explore the natural surroundings around you including underwater photography or the people belonging to different cultures or the fashion world. Whatever stream of photography you choose, you are set to have a great fun and entertain yourself and others around you.
If you want to become an expert photographer, then, you need to know how to use different camera accessories effectively. Having thorough knowledge of the accessories like lens, tripod, slide copier, etc… can differentiate you as a professional photographer from an amateur.
Photography is not just an art. It has become part of the science as well. For example, in forensic science the photography is used in crime scene investigations and is integral part of the investigation. Also, to find life on other planets NASA has spent millions of dollars to send a probe to these planets and the probes have taken amazing pictures of the planets and sent them back to earth. Hence, a hobby can bring you the opportunity to earn money as well if you are serious and take it up as a profession.
