When i go to my pictures, i have some images that are GIF (they are animated). When i open it, it opens up with Windows photo gallery. NOW, those images don’t move. On XP (windows picture & fax viewer they do) but vista (photo gallery) they don’t. How do i make them work?

I had some pictures and my computer deleted them off my memory card so I had to run a recovery program and some of the pictures have grey boxes in them and most of the files do not even show up when I try to open them with programs liek Windows Photo Viewer. It says the format is not supported, also some are dissorted.

I have downloaded about 8 programs but none work, can somneone please help me, these are important photos!
